Getting started

What you can do

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that lets an AI assistant use external tools. EngageFast ships its own MCP server: once connected, your AI agent can read your LinkedIn pipeline, the signals behind every lead, and draft outreach for you, all in plain conversation.

Find new leads
Launch a scan of your audience or outside your network from the chat, and get the new qualified leads back a few minutes later.
Ask about your leads
Hottest leads, follow-ups due, who commented this week, the full story of one person. Your CRM answers in words.
Get DM openers that land
Written from what the lead actually did: their comment, the post they reacted to, their profile visit. Grounded in your offer and your ICP.
Start the day with a digest
What happened since yesterday, who is waiting for your reply, who to follow up with, and the 5 actions for today.
Works with the AI you already use
Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code and any MCP-compatible AI agent. One URL, one sign-in, no API key to manage.

Before you start

  • An EngageFast account. The MCP server comes with your subscription. Sign in with the same email you use in the Chrome extension.
  • An AI agent that supports remote MCP servers (Claude Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise; ChatGPT with Developer mode; Cursor; Claude Code...). You sign in with the same email as your EngageFast account.
No API key is involved. Every connection goes through a secure sign-in page, exactly like connecting a Google account to another app.

Your server URL

Every AI agent below asks for the same thing: the address of the EngageFast MCP server. Copy it once, you will paste it in the next step.

https://www.engagefast.ai/api/mcp

If your AI agent asks for a client ID or a secret, leave those fields empty: EngageFast handles the sign-in.

Connect your AI agent

Pick the AI agent you use. Each one takes about two minutes.

Claude (web and desktop)

Custom connectors are available on Claude Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. The steps are the same on claude.ai and in the desktop app.

  1. Open the connectors settings

Click your initials at the bottom left, then Settings › Connectors.

In a chat you can also open the tools menu (the + or sliders icon) and choose Manage connectors.

  2. Add a custom connector

Scroll to the bottom of the list and click Add custom connector.

  3. Fill in the form

    • Name: EngageFast
    • Remote MCP server URL: https://www.engagefast.ai/api/mcp
    • OAuth client: Register automatically
    • Client ID and secret: leave empty
  4. Click Add, then Connect

A new tab opens on EngageFast. Sign in with the email of your EngageFast account, with Google or a login link sent by email.

Then click Authorize. You are sent back to Claude.

  5. Enable it in a chat

Start a new conversation, open the tools menu and make sure EngageFast is switched on.

Then ask something, for example: "Who are my hottest leads right now?"

Tip: mention EngageFast in your first message ("Using EngageFast, ...") the first few times. Claude then knows which tool to reach for.

Use it every day

Find new leads with a scan

A scan is how EngageFast fills your pipeline: it reads who is engaging on LinkedIn, enriches the profiles, keeps the ones that match your ICP and filters, and qualifies them with AI. You can now start one from your AI agent. Say "Launch a lead scan": your agent will ask which side of LinkedIn to look at.

My audience
The people who commented on or reacted to your own recent posts. Your warmest signals. Needs your LinkedIn profile URL on your EngageFast account.
Outside my network
The latest posts of the creators you follow in your pipeline, then the posts found on your keywords. New people who talk about what you sell.

A scan runs for a few minutes, so your agent checks back for you: ask "how is my scan going?" whenever you like. Closing the conversation does not stop it: the new leads land in your pipeline either way.

When it is done, it lists the new leads ranked by qualification and temperature, with the reason each one matches, and can write the first DM for the best ones on the spot. They land in your review queue too, in the extension.

What you can ask

Plain language works. Here are prompts that map well to what the server knows:

  • “Who are my hottest leads right now, and why are they hot?”
  • “Which leads did I contact more than 4 days ago without a reply? Rank them by temperature.”
  • “What happened in my pipeline this week? Summarize the signals and tell me who to message first.”
  • “Show me everything you know about Marie Dupont and the posts she engaged with.”
  • “Write a DM opener for Marie Dupont, in French, casual tone, 2 variants.”
  • “List my qualified leads I have not messaged yet, grouped by company size.”
  • “Who commented on my posts in the last 3 days? Which comments sound like buying intent?”
  • “Give me a status breakdown of my pipeline and the 5 leads I should focus on today.”
  • “Launch a lead scan outside my network, then show me the qualified ones when it is done.”

Your daily digest

The one thing to ask every morning. Say "Give me my EngageFast daily digest" and your AI agent comes back with a short briefing:

  • What happened since yesterday: new signals, and the most telling comments quoted.
  • Who wrote last and is waiting for your reply.
  • Follow-ups due today, and how overdue they are.
  • New qualified leads worth a look, with the reason.
  • The 5 actions for today, in priority order, each with the angle for the message.

Back from a weekend? Ask for "the last 3 days". Want a weekly review? Ask for "the last 7 days". In Claude Code, the digest is also a one-line command: /mcp__engagefast__daily_digest.

How DM openers are written

A good first message talks about the lead, not about you. When you ask for an opener, the server gathers three things and hands them to the AI:

  • Who you are and what you sell: your headline, your offer and value proposition, the ideal customer profile of your pipeline.
  • Who the lead is: headline, role, company, about section, why EngageFast qualified them, your own notes.
  • What they actually did: their comments word for word, the posts they reacted to, profile views, connection requests, and where the conversation stands if you already talked.

The result is 1 to 3 short messages, each with the angle it takes and the signal it opens with, plus a one-line read of the lead and anything to double-check before sending.

You can ask for a language, a tone or extra instructions. Nothing is ever sent for you: copy the message into LinkedIn, edit it if you like. Generation is capped per day to keep it fair.

Available tools

Your AI agent picks the right tool by itself. Knowing what exists helps you ask better questions.

Good to know

Security and privacy

A secure sign-in
Your AI agent never sees your password or your EngageFast session. It receives its own access key, limited to EngageFast, that you can cut at any time.
Only your data
Every request is tied to your account. The server can only read the leads, signals and pipelines that belong to you.
Nothing sent, nothing deleted
The tools read your pipeline, write text for you and, if you ask, add new leads through a scan. They never send messages, delete leads or touch your LinkedIn account.
Revocable any time
Remove EngageFast in your AI agent and its access stops working. Contact support to revoke every connection at once.

What your AI agent does with the data it reads depends on its own privacy settings. Check them if you use a shared or corporate workspace.

Troubleshooting

Claude says some checks were skipped because the server took more than 5 seconds

Harmless, and the connection works anyway. The first request after a quiet period wakes our server up, which takes a few seconds; every request after that answers in a fraction of a second. Just make sure the OAuth client is set to Register automatically, leave the client ID and the secret empty, and add the connector.

The AI agent says it cannot connect

Check the URL character by character (it ends with /api/mcp, no trailing slash), set the OAuth client to Register automatically and leave the client ID and secret empty. If your AI agent has no way to sign in through a browser, it may not support remote servers yet.

The sign-in page says my plan does not include MCP

You signed in with an account on the free plan. Use the email of your paid EngageFast account, or upgrade, then connect again from your AI agent.

The connection works but the AI agent does not use it

Make sure EngageFast is enabled in the current chat (tools menu), start a new conversation, and name EngageFast in your question. Some AI agents only load tools at the start of a chat.

The AI agent says it has no leads

The server reads the pipeline of the account you signed in with. Run a scan from the Chrome extension with that account, or check you did not sign in with another email.

It worked, then stopped

Access renews on its own. If your AI agent lost it (reinstall, cleared data), remove EngageFast and add it again. A subscription that ended also closes the door: the tools will say so.

Still stuck? Write to support with the name of your AI agent and what you see.

Disconnect EngageFast

Remove EngageFast from the AI agent you connected it to:

Claude
Settings › Connectors, open EngageFast and click Remove.
Claude Code
claude mcp remove engagefast
ChatGPT
Settings › Connectors, open the EngageFast connector and delete it.
Cursor
Remove the engagefast entry from mcp.json.

The access given to that AI agent is cut on our side as soon as it tells us, and expires by itself otherwise.

Questions

Does it cost extra?

No. It comes with your EngageFast subscription, and scans, digests and DM openers draw on the same quotas as the Chrome extension.

Can it send the DMs for me?

No, on purpose. Sending happens in the Chrome extension, with your LinkedIn session, where you can read and edit before it goes out.

Can I use it with several AI agents at once?

Yes. Each AI agent gets its own connection. Connect Claude on your laptop and Claude Code in your terminal, both see the same pipeline.

Which language does it answer in?

The language of your conversation. DM openers follow the lead's language by default; ask for French or English explicitly if you want to force it.

Will there be more tools?

Yes. Updating a lead's status or notes from the chat and adding a lead from a LinkedIn URL are on the list. Vote for what you need on the roadmap.

Your next 10 customers are already talking on LinkedIn

EngageFast finds them, keeps the ones worth your time, and hands them to the AI you already work with.
